Friday Night

Well, this is the first day we're getting together, and I've decided to take the opprotunity to introduce you all to one of the two larger nightlife areas of Dallas. Although I'm not a huge fan of Deep Ellum myself there are two great places there that I think would be a lot of fun to get to know each other at.

At 5:00pm we'll gather together at the OBD Meeting Place for the first time and get to put the faces to the names. At around 7:00pm we'll move out and take off to Ketama's, a great tapas bar located in scenic downtown Dallas. They serve great Spainish food, and even better Spainish wine. We might even be able to catch one of the great sporadic live performances of Classical Spainish Guitar sessions that they hold there. When we get tired of it at Ketama's we'll move on down to The Angry Dog, a great bar with (literally) 100 different beers in stock...let's see if we can't take a tour of the world through it's breweries. Once again we'll stick around there until we get tired of it. All of this is in downtown Dallas in an area known as Deep Ellum...it's basically a 6 city block area of nothing but bars, clubs and restaraunts and everything is within walking distance so when we all park our cars to go into Ketama's we'll be on foot until we decide to call it a night. There's tons of things to do down here so we definitely won't run out of interesting things to do or see.

Here are some maps and directions on how to get to Ketama's from Bloodlust's place. We'll all be leaving at the same time so we can follow one another, but if anyone gets lost I want them to have a map anyway.

I know these directions are rather detailed, but I figured the more detailed the better so you'll have a better idea of where exactly to go in this new and strange place. From what I know both of the places I've planned on us going on this day are under 21 friendly, so no matter what your age you won't have to worry about missing out on any of the fun.
